ここでは宿泊の選択の幅が広い。しかし、安くて質の高いものは限られている。ほとんどの安宿はビーチから離れている。値段は交渉できるが、Rp30,000（朝食なし）くらいから。 10%の税金が加算されることもある。軽い朝食と無料のコーヒー/お茶が付いている場合が多い。ほとんどの部屋は水シャワー付き。ホットシャワーは安宿ではまずない。二つの主な安宿エリアは南のKutaと北のLegianである。近年Legianのさらに北へとホテル街が延びているが便は悪い。

以下にあげたゲストハウスは各部屋シャワー、ファン付きで、ある程度清潔である。
