Situated in Eastern Slovakia, 25km
from Poprad, Levoca is an attractive historic town that is popular
with day trippers - it is easily visited from Poprad or any of
the High Tatras towns. Half to 1 day is enough to see the sights.
During the 14th & 15th C. Levoca was a major trade center in Central Europe however from the 17th C onward its importance waned. Now a small quiet local town, its rich heritage is visible only in the medieval architecture of the central area. |

Bus Terminal: 15min
walk downhill SE from the town center . When arriving in Levoca,
follow the locals up the small path, through the housing estate,
turn left after the Police Station and continue straight. Even locals have problems working out the very complicated bus timetables on the wall. Regular services to Poprad 30min, 24-30sk ( 10sk for luggage), Kosice 2hr, ? 65sk. |
