On the banks of the River Danube, between
popular Vienna & Budapest, Bratislava, with an image of an
ugly communist city, is not a favorite travelers destination.
Recent visitors are pleasantly surprised though, as a massive
rennovation program is underway, the attractive historic area
down from the castle district, is gradually being returned to
its pre-communist state. Increasingly travelers are stopping
over in Bratislava rather than using it as a transit point on
the Praha-Vienna-Budapest circuit. |
