International buses: There are many international services
between Poland and the main cities in Europe. Travel agencies
are the best source of info. Visit 1 or 2 just to compare prices.
Several bus companies have offices located around the Central
Station. Pekao (Eurolines) has an office in the station complex.

(Information available at Dnorzec PKS office near Warszawa Zochodnia station.). Polski Express operate from al. Jana Pawla II, near the train station. Good services to the main cities. Can book tickets at travel agents. |

Warsaw has an extensive and efficient transport system operating
24hrs (limited night bus service 23-5:00). Tickets valid for metro, bus and tram can be bought from Ruch kiosks (NOT from driver) - single tickets (no transfers) 2.4zl, St.1.2zl. (incl. foreign students). Backpacks also require a ticket. Day ticket 'Bilet dobowy' 6.2zl. Weekly 20zl Must validate ticket on entering bus/tram. Inspections are common, 100zl fine, 40zl if you don't have a ticket for your backpack. |
