Castle District in Buda on the West side of the Danube On UNESCO's register of World Heritage Sights The Castle district contains most of Budapest's historical sights. Wandering around the, attractive, historic area is one of Budapest's highlights. Go early in the morning to see it at its best, during the day the area is always crowded with tourists. The views across the river to Parliament building are superb especially in the evenings.
