Linz is a small city situated between Vienna and Salzburg on the river Danube. It is not as much touristy as those cities. The city is beautiful and rich in culture. It has many places to see the real Austrian modern life. The main attractions are the Ars Electronica, a museum of the new era and the international street performance festival.
You can take boat trip from here upto Passau or/and down to Vienna.
