T1	Ga Hanoi: Le Duan St.1km SW from the Hoan Kiem Lake By cyclo from center. 7-8 min. (5,000-8,000D). ticket office: 7:00-12:30, 13:00-20:50 There are two different offices. One in the main hall selling Hanoi - Saigon line and one N from the main hall selling tickets to Lao Cai and Don Dang/China
T2	Ga Hanoi B: just behind Ga Hanoi, 400m. Go out the station, walk toward left, turn left , cross the railway and turn left again. Or go out to to the platform and walk right and cross the railway. You can go to the "B" 100m
T3	Long Bien station: about 1.5km from Hoan Kiem Lake. Just N from Dong Xuan market. Some train to Hai Phong depart from/arrive at this station.

There are many different classes for the train to Lao Cai.
1. Hard seat, 2. soft seat, 3. ac soft seat, 4. fan hard bed sleeper, 5. fan soft bed sleeper, 6. ac soft bed sleeper, 7. wood cabin class, 8 Victoria Express class.
1,2, 3 or 4: You can get them easily at the train station in Lao Cai 4: may be available at the train station.
5, 6, 7 & 8: available only at travel agents. 7(Wooden cabin) are sold with $20. No info for Victoria Express class. In some web sites, this class is sold with more than $70.
When you order tickets, please make sure which class your tickets are for.

TOURIST BUS

Very common to travel with tourist buses. They are available from tourist cafe.

Travel agents organize buses traveling from Hanoi to Hue, Hoian, Nhatrang, Dalat, Muine Beach and to Saigon.You can break jouney at any of those destinations. It is called "Open Tour" tickets. It is supposed to be the same price even if you buy separately. But at this moment, some traevl agents offer discount prices for Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City . If you use only buses for this route, compare the difference of the fares.

Hanoi to Vientiane Laos.
Daily tourist buses running to Laos.. It takes about 24hrs.

Public Bus: (Old info)
Take a bus From Hanoi to Vinh , then Vinh ->Trong Tam? $2 2hr, Trong Tam?->Cao Treo, jeep $3 1hr . Cross the border, then from Kaew Neua -> Laksao 15000kip 1hr , then Laksao ->Vientiane 15000k 3.5hr. Connection is not good at all. Expect to wait for long time at each town.
