KLIA: KL Int'l Airport: New KL International Airport was opened on July 98. Located very far from the center of KL, 1.5hrs by public transport. There are very few public facilities around it. Transport: 1) Express train to KL Sentral(City Air Terminal): 5-25:00 RM34, the most expensive and most convenient way to travel to/from the center of KL 2) Airport Coach + Shuttle bus: From KLIA to JL Duta bus station by Airport Coach, Delux coach RM23, normal coach -RM16,1hr) then to China Town by a shuttle bus RM2, 30min). The last coach from KLIA to China town dep. 23:00(The last bus to J.Duta bus station dep.00:30, then take a taxi to the center) The last shuttle bus from China town to KLIA dep. central station) Now it is the central railway station. Long
distance trains stop here. Also this is KL City Air Terminal

This was the central train station but the role moved to the new train station, KL Sentral and long distance trains do not stop here any more. No tickets will be issued here. Many companies running various types of buses
with different timetables to most cities in mainland Malaysia.
It's confusing. Check around until you find the most suitable
one. Buses leave from the basement - a horrible enclosed area
that stinks of exhaust fumes. Standard bus is AC, 42 seats; "Business"= VIP 24-25 seats; "Executive"=SuperVIP has 21-24 seats with WC, snacks & nonstop. Transnational bus Co. is recommended by locals. It has a ticket office at Central Market Annexe, 9:00-21:00. Much more relaxing place to purchase your ticket than extremely busy Puduraya stn. VIP buses are less frequent than A/C buses. |
