Kuala
Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, is aiming to emulate Singapore's
economic success. A Massive construction program is underway,
transforming the city. A new addition to the cityscape is Petronas
Tower the highest building in the world - a symbol of Kuala Lumpur's
rising power.
KL is a large, automobile orientated city. Not pedestrian or
bicyclist friendly.
In the past KL hasn't been a popular destination
with travelers. Often used as a transport point, few visitors
stay longer than 1 or 2 days. However, KL is worth more time.
A vibrant, rapidly changing city with an incredible mix of cultures,
an interesting history, impressive architecture, old and new,
and a variety of attractions.
It is certainly worth staying a few days at least.
