Beaches: Sihanoukville
has several beaches to choose from. |

Victory Beach: Unspectacular,
small, polluted from nearby port. but quiet and has some nice
restaurants on the beach. 10min on foot. from the main budget
guest-house area |

Independence
Beach: S from Victory. If the tide is reasonably low,
it is possible to walk round left (ie away from port) It is deserted
except for some drinks sellers.Sand strip is narrow and some
part is rocky. Chair & umbrella 1000r, tube 2000r.
Visit Independence Hotel(might be closed but). It is possible
to climb onto the roof quite easily which gives good views and
a better idea of how resplendent the hotel must once have been.
Quite spooky now though! |

Ochheuteal
Beach: is the longest largest beach but narrow strip
sand beach., and most attractive beach with a distinctive crescent-shape.
It is possible to hire sun loungers & find shade under fixed
parasols. Beach sellers offer drinks, fruit etc. A sprinkling
of hard-working NGO's can be found here relaxing & topping
up those fading tans at weekends...& weekdays too come to
that!
