Boat

There are a few different ways to go to the islands, Koh Samui and Koh Panghan.
From BKK
1.) Tour from Khaosan Rd in BKK: joint tour with bus and express boat. Leaving from BKK in evening and arriving at the boat pier in the morning, you can arrive at K. Samui/Phangan before noon.
2.) Train + Bus + ferry: Take a night train from BKK. You arrive at Suratthani train station in the morning. Buses to Donsak, ferry port, leaving around 6:30. Then a ferry to those island leave at 8:30. You can buy a joint ticket(train + bus+ ferry) at the train station in BKK. If you don't have it you can buy a ticket for a bus to Donsak + ferry at Suratthani train station. The joint ticket price is same to the cost buying separately.

From Suratthani town
1. ) Bus + ferry/express boat: At the night boat pier of Suratthani, there were many private boat companies' offices/agents. Their a/c buses leave in front of the office to the port.
2. ) Night boats: the boats, to K Samui, Phangan and Tao leave from Bandon Rd(F1,F2,F3) at 23:00. Tickets are sold in front of the boats. You can leave your luggage and come back before 23:00.
