Krabi is a comfortable, relaxing town that serves as the gateway to the popular nearby beach destinations in W side of Thai penensular - Ao Nang, Rai Ley and Phi Phi Island, Koh Lanta, etc.
Krabi's most impressive sight is the riverside/sea view of Khao Khanap Nam - the sheer-limestone cliffs that rise dramatically out of the water.
The standard of restaurants is excellent and accommodation is reasonable. Some visitors prefer to make Krabi their base and visit the beaches on day trips.
! Warning Some streets have 2 different names
